Hello everyone…it’s been a minute!

Recently, I was given the LIEBSTER AWARD by Simofutet and I’m so delighted because this is my first award. Simofutet blogs about musings and being weird generally…she surely is. You could check out her blog right here.

Rules Of Accepting The Liebster Award. The liebster award is a blogger award for new bloggers or those with a small following. It is a way of giving new bloggers some recognition and encouragement for their hard work.

The instructions for accepting the award and passing it on are as follows:

• Create a new blog post on your blog thanking the person that nominated you, provide a link to their blog and put in a graphic of the award.
• Answer the questions that were provided, and then share some facts about yourself.
• Create a new set of your own questions for others to answer.
• Nominate 10 others and share your blog post with them so they can accept their awards!

• What inspired you to start a blog?

Well, for that, it was the writing the skill and the fact that I wanted to share myself with world, connect with other writers, kill boredom (especially when I was waiting for youth service) and divine inspiration.

 

• What three words best describe you?

God-fearing, dramatic and friendly.

 

• What are you grateful for?

I’m definitely grateful for life, family, friends, psychology (I love everything that has to do with mental health ever since I did my Internship, it was an experience), drama, my nephew (he’s my joy!), my blog (Roses of Life), service year and lots more. If I were to start listing them, they won’t get exhausted.

 

• What advice would you give your 16 year old self?

Well, let me name that “ A letter addressed to a younger version of me”

Dear young Enele,

In life, you are going to find obstacles, everybody does but guess what, the only ones that surmounted the obstacles were those who fought and won on their feet.

Now, in life, you need to be hard-working, no matter what you are doing, unless you wanna stay home all day and make nothing with your life but guess what, that makes you a full house-wife and you still need to be very hard-working to do that effectively.

Do not succumb to peer pressure because you would find it everywhere you go. Lagos is the third most stressful city in the world, don’t add to that stress, enjoy your life, don’t ever let any situation take away your joy, those situations are usually not worth it.

If anything unpleasant happens in your life, move on, don’t commit suicide, it may hurt you so badly but don’t ever imagine not to talk of attempting it, trust me, after suicide, your agony has just begun because it wouldn’t have solved the problem.

After the hurt, light comes, you’ll get better. There’s always day time after night.

Do what you love to do once it’s a good thing, don’t let anyone spoil your shine. You are too beautiful for that.

Good things don’t come easily, you must work very hard for them and if you want a thing bad enough to lose your time, peace and sleep for it, honey, you’ll get.

 Like I said, the people that were victorious were those that won on their feet. Be courageous, kind, patient, watchful, prayerful (only God can protect you), mindful of the associations you keep, what you watch and what you read, for that will be the difference between the person you are now and the person you’ll be in 5 years time.

Handle life with great care and sense of purpose for you live only once and you can’t afford to live life on your knees, that’s why you must heed these words and be courageous and fight away all the unpleasant things, so that you will win on your feet, not your knees. The only time you should be on your knees is when you are in your “war room”, fighting the spiritual battles.

Well, I hope I have been able to make a change in your life to be a better person.
